Lisa, founder of Rest Ministries shares...
"My mom saw the Clinging Cross at an exhibit table at the Christian retail show in July. She tried to explain it to me but I just couldn't picture it. When I finally saw it I thought it looked kind of nice, but surely, with my malformed hands it wouldn't "work." Right? Wrong! I picked it up an it still conformed comfortably to my hand. I loved it.
I immediately thought of how comforting this would be to anyone who is stuck in bed, waiting in a waiting room for a test, endless hours at the hospital, or even just to pick up during moments of prayer.
I am so excited that we can offer this at a discount so that the people who really need it can afford it. It retails for over $20, but we're cutting down our profit considerably so we can priced at a discount. I wish I could place one in your hand so you could feel it."

When God gave Jane Davis the design for the 'The Clinging Cross', she had no idea the powerful impact that it would have on so many people." Jane believes that she was the hands that God used to create this piece. It's certainly not magical, but it is a wonderful reminder of God's presence.
"In February, 2003, when her father was dying in the hospital, she had asked God to give her something tangible to hold that would be a constant reminder that He was ever-present with her while she was living through this crisis. She had tried to hold a wall cross, but it wasn't comfortable, so during her prayer time, God revealed to her that He was going to give her what she had asked for. Jane is a Christian jewelry designer, but the next morning, God and Jane worked in clay, and within minutes, He shared with her 'The Clinging Cross' design."
The cross, cast in resin from Davis' original design, has the appearance of olive wood. It fits perfectly in the palm of everyone's hand. The size of the clinging cross is approx. 3" x 4" with dove inset in center
In times of stress, turmoil and uncertainty, it's comforting to have something to hold onto. The resin Clinging Cross is designed specifically for this purpose. Included instructions explain how to hold the uniquely shaped cross, and a gift card offers a touching poem by Jane Davis. 3 3/8" x 3 7/8".
Who Uses The Clinging Cross?
Every type of person you can imagine... regardless of gender or age. Pastors hold it while preaching, soloists while singing, people going through chemotherapy, surgery, and other physical pain and crisis.
It's also given as gifts to caretakers, teens in Confirmation and graduation, for couples starting out their married life together, and the birth of a new baby.
Also people in 12 step programs, share groups and those experiencing the grieving process. Another imporant group is our service men and women. In other words, the crosses are God's reminders to anyone and everyone experiencing life.
Hold one in your hand, then you'll understand.
Cross comes with instructions on how to hold and Jane's poem:
When my mind is fuzzy
And my eyes are dim with tears,
I need to feel Your presence, Lord,
And know that You are near.
When my heart is racing
And my thoughts have such a sting,
I tightly grasp this little cross
And prayerfully I cling.
It's not a magic piece -
This cross Your father planned,
But when I cling to it
I feel Your nail-scarred hand.
